Mr. Bangura obtained his law degree from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone in 2007 and was called to the Bar in 2008. Between 2008 and 2011, he worked in the law firm of Yada Williams & Associates as an Associate. His responsibilities at that time included litigating criminal and civil matters mostly at the magisterial level as well as a variety of solicitor’s work. He also handled most of the firm’s clients in the banking industry while also working on high profile anti-graft cases. Mr. Bangura’s transactional corporate and commercial law experience includes: advising banks on debt security issues, debt restructuring, advising on joint ventures and partnerships, incorporation of companies, shareholders rights, mergers and acquisitions. He also advises on conveyancing and real estate matters, taxation, mines and minerals law related matters, adoption processes, immigration matters and all types of transactions involving intellectual property. Between October 2013 and May 2018, he served as a consultant legal adviser to the Office of the Chief of Staff (OCOS) to the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone.
